Donna Rae "Susie" Sandoval

Aug 2, 1950 — Jul 27, 2026

Kingsland

Donna Rae “Susie” Mitchell Sandoval, 75, of Kingsland, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior at her home on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Born August 2, 1950, in Vinita, Oklahoma, she joined her parents, Ollis and Billie Allery Mitchell, brothers, Harry and Marvin Mitchell, a precious infant daughter, Angelina Sandoval, and a precious infant grandson, Hunter Sandoval, in Heavenly glory.

She is survived by the love of her life and husband of six decades, Michael Sandoval, children, Julie (Roy) Howard (New Edinburg), James (Denna) Sandoval (Texas), Jason Sandoval (Texas), grandchildren, Korissa, Kyle, Kalvin, and Angelina Anderson, Tanner, Jaden, and Mason Sandoval, five treasured great-grandchildren, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

A wonderful testimony of Proverbs 31, Donna was determined, strong, outgoing, fun, and multi-talented. She counted every day as a blessing from God and took advantage of every moment He gave her in life. An artistic, creative, and vibrant woman, she painted, gardened, cooked, hunted, fished, baked the most delicious breads, made soap, canned, made jewelry, was a talented seamstress and silversmith, and was very technologically proficient. Donna raised rabbits, geese, ducks, and chickens over her lifetime, and she rescued and rehabilitated a myriad of wild birds and animals. She honored her Cherokee heritage by presenting Cherokee culture and history to schools and various organizations around Arkansas.

Donna loved her family fiercely, and she loved the Lord and made sure that everyone in her family knew the joy of salvation in Jesus. She was a member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a beacon of light in this world and she will be greatly missed by everyone who loves her, but, thanks to Jesus, we know we will meet her again when we, too, reach our Heavenly home.

"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." (Proverbs 31:28-29) Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Bolin officiating. Burial at Kingsland Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
