Don E. Hardman, 77 of Fordyce went to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 14, 2022. Born August 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Edwin “Dink” Hardman and Burton Nutt Hardman.
Don was a graduate of Fordyce High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he was ordained as Deacon in 1974. Don was the Chief of Cooterneck Volunteer Fire Department from 1979 until 2013. He was a retired school teacher, having taught at Fordyce and Carthage, and a retired painting contractor. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Steed. He is survived by his wife, Dana Kervin Hardman of Fordyce; two sons, Todd Hardman and wife Rebecca of Fordyce, John Hardman and wife Mary Pat of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Brandon Hardman, Brooke Hardman, Emma Hardman, Abby Hardman.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Smith and Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church or to Stoney Point Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
