Diane Grice, age 84 of Kingsland, AR, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 17, 1942, in Tinsman, AR, to Troy and Christine (Strickland) Buzbee. She graduated from Tinsman High School in 1959 and later worked in the banking industry for approximately 32 years, retiring in 2009. She married her sweetheart, Hubert, in 1962 and they were happily married for 63 years.
Most importantly, she was the absolute best. She was Hubert’s other, and some might argue better, half. She was an involved and attentive mother who let her kids find their own way. She was a grandmother and great grandmother who fostered a warm and delightful environment, where cousins became friends, laughter was common, and goodbyes were always hard.
She was an active and dedicated member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church, where she filled many roles throughout the years.
She loved gardening, canning, cooking, fishing, camping, and watching basketball, but she was widely known for her servant’s heart and her peanut brittle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mildred Oliver and Sue Price, her brothers E.T. and Larry Buzbee, and her great granddaughter Harleigh Grace Webster.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hubert Grice, her children Tammy (Mark) Clampet, Mia (David) Bryant, and Jamey (Lesley) Grice, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
It is indescribable how much she will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, AR, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 6PM until 8PM.
