Dessie Elizabeth "Libby" Metcalf

Dessie Elizabeth "Libby" Metcalf, 68 of New Edinburg, died Monday, March 5, 2018. She was born December 20, 1949 in Fordyce to the late Albert Julian Posey and Sarah Elizabeth Humphries Posey. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mary Benson.

She is survived by her husband Jerry W. Metcalf of New Edinburg; two sons, Tracy Lyn Metcalf and wife Kim of New Edinburg, Christopher Michael Metcalf and wife Angela Shawn of New Edinburg; two brothers, Travis Posey of New Edinburg and Clifton Posey of Fordyce; three sisters, Marie Lash of New Edinburg, Wanda Marks of New Edinburg, Savannah Benson of Camden; and four grandchildren, Christopher Austin Metcalf, Landon Gray Metcalf, Allison Faith Metcalf, and Mallory Lyn Metcalf all of New Edinburg.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2PM Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Fordyce. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery near New Edinburg. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net .
