With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debra Rexanne Nutt, who passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 65.
Born on August 19, 1960, she devoted her life to the people she loved. As a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, daughter, sister, and caregiver, she found purpose in creating a home that was warm, welcoming, and filled with love. She believed a home should be a refuge, and she quietly spent a lifetime making sure it was just that for her family, friends, and anyone who needed a place to belong.
She took pride in caring for others, whether tending to her flower beds, helping family members through difficult seasons, or simply making those around her laugh. She worked outside the home at various times, including at Flowers by Jim, but her life’s work was caring for those entrusted to her.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wade; her sons, Weston Nutt of Fayetteville and his wife, Tara, and Andy Nutt of Hampton and his wife, Tyler; her sister, Sheila Bastien; and her four beloved grandchildren, Brendan, Victoria, Harper, and Lilly, who brought her immeasurable joy and all the wonderful noise that accompanies a growing family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Carolyn Spiva of Hampton; her brother, Mike Spiva of Hampton; and her sister, Cathie Zachry of Camden.
She will be remembered for her steadfast love, her generous heart, her quiet strength, and the home she built—not only with walls, but with kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in those she loved and in the countless lives made better simply because she was part of them.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hampton Assembly of God Church.
