Danny Joe Emerson, 36, of Fordyce, died Saturday January 3, 2009. Mr. Emerson was born in Fordyce, AR on September 26, 1972. He was a Baptist and worked as a Logger.

He is survived by his parents, Tommy & Janice Emerson of Fordyce, AR; his wife Debra Emerson of Spurger, TX; two sons, William & Lucas Emerson of Spurger, TX; two daughters, Ashley Emerson of Warren, AR, Kirsten Emerson of New Edinburg, AR; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Bryant & his wife Rickie Lynn of Fordyce, AR, Mark Emerson & wife Kim of New Edinburg, AR; his grandfather, Thurman Lee Raybon of Fordyce, AR; one grandson, Trai Clancy; a niece Karla Lucas of Fordyce, AR; three nephews, John Bryant of Fordyce, AR, A.J. & Jacob Emerson of New Edinburg, AR; two great nephews, Dakota & Logan Lucas of Fordyce, AR. Mr. Emerson was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Richard, Lenny Emerson, & Mary Raybon.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 6, 2009 at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Harper officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday evening at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Benton Funeral Home, P.O.
