Danny Wilson Bethea, 75 of Hampton died Tuesday July 15, 2025 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas at El Dorado. Born September 10, 1949 at Camden, he was a son of the late Willard V. Bethea and Marcelene Cook Bethea.
He was a 1968 graduate of Winnsboro, TX High School. He was a retired Construction supervisor and a member of Woodberry Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Jean Shults Bethea; a daughter, Christie Dickey; a brother, Gene Bethea; and a sister, Ann Rumfelt.
He is survived by two sons, Bryan Bethea and his wife, Jennifer of Bogata, TX, Earl Bethea and his wife, Carrie of Paris, TX; two daughters, Brenda Clark and her husband, Terry of Hampton, Tammie Brumley and her husband, Dean of El Dorado; a sister, Sammie Minchew of Liberty, Tx; twelve grandchildren, Chance Bethea, Nick Bethea, Lindsey Wright, Kaycie Dyck, Jullian Dickey, Colton Oliver, Andrea Oliver, Jake Clark, Cassie Clark, Daniel Newton, Sena Hodges, Hunter Brumley; and twenty five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Woodberry Baptist Church with funeral services immediately following at the church. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit
