Dan Norris Beard, 75, of Bearden died Tuesday, April 08, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born February 2, 1939 in Bearden, Arkansas. Dan was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bearden, and a US Army veteran. He also owned and operated Beard's Slightly Used Cars in Bearden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Jesse Beard and Nellie Frazier Beard St John; daughter, Dana Beard; and one sister, Cleatie Williams. He is survived by his wife, Paula Beard of Bearden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cleo and Shannon Beard of Bearden, Bryan and Wendy Kauffer of Benton, LA; one brother, Buddy Beard of Stephens; one sister, Patricia Pennington of Bearden; six grandchildren, Jacob Stockslager of Hope, Abbey Beard of Bearden, Ryan Martin of Benton, LA, Emma Beard of Bearden, Alex Kauffer of Benton, LA, and Noah Beard of Bearden. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Bearden with Rev.
