Curtis L. McClellan, 86, of Fordyce, Arkansas, passed away on September 5, 2020 at St. John’s Place.
He was born to Monroe and Myrtle McClellan, on June 14, 1934 in New Edinburg, Arkansas. Curtis graduated from New Edinburg High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged at the end of his service with the rank of Sergeant. Curtis worked and attended Arkansas A&M (U of Ark @ Monticello) for three years. He was the first in his family to attend college. He taught his children to value higher education.
Curtis spent the majority of his working years as a Manager at the Arkansas Employment Security Division. He retired after almost thirty years as the South Arkansas Regional Director. He enjoyed serving others through his work.
He was an avid fox hunter. He enjoyed studying bloodlines and was recognized for breeding championship hunting dogs.
Curtis was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Fordyce.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Tonya Wilson McClellan, daughter Donna Renee McClellan, (the child of Curtis and former wife Faye McClellan Robinson), Parents Monroe and Myrtle Gray McClellan, Siblings: Paul, Mac, Raymond, Nolan and Petie McClellan, Frances Bolin and Christine Williams.
He is survived by his loving children Cheryl Annette Eudy (Chuck) of Marietta, GA, Karen Blankenship of Bella Vista, AR , Blake Eason (DeAnna) of Camden, AR, Andrea Jordan (Scott) of Fordyce, AR. Grandchildren, Lauren Litton (Steven) , Robyn Field (Michael), Lainey, Jase and Annsley Jordan, Alexia, Lillian, and Lucy Eason. Great Grandchildren, Benjamin & Callum Litton and Thomas Field., Siblings, Brenda Triplett (Don) of New Edinburg, AR and Varnice Parker (Bob) of Conway, AR
