Connie E. Walthall, 74 of Little Rock, died Saturday, February 6, 2021.She was born September 5, 1946 in Fordyce to Katie Green Hardman and the late John Hardman. She was also preceded in death by her son Brian Walthall. She worked at PBNB (Relyance Bank) for over 30 years and was a member of First Little Rock Church.
She is survived by her mother, her husband Don Walthall of Little Rock; her son Scott (Ronda) Walthall of Little Rock; her daughter Carrie Walthall of Hot Springs; two sisters Bonnie Daniel of Fordyce and Wanda Dawson of Winthrop; four grandchildren, Roza Bost of Little Rock, Hunter Bost of Hot Springs, Katie Walthall of Little Rock, and Dawson Walthall of Little Rock.
Connie grew up in the Ivan community near Fordyce and she loved hanging out with her lifelong Redbug friends. She loved spending time at the lake in the summers and sitting on the back porch with Don at their lake house. She loved to clean and had everything tidy and organized. She also loved taking trips to see her sisters. Her biggest joy was spending time with her four grandkids. She spent the last few years working and volunteering at her grandkids’ school, Southwest Christian Academy. And Christmas was her favorite; she loved making special cookies for her nieces and granddaughters.
A family visitation will be Thursday from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. The family requests that COVID-19 safety protocols be observed. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at White Oak Cemetery near Bearden.
