Connie L. Nix

Connie L. Nix, age 83 of Sparkman, passed away on May 12th, 2018 in his home. He was born January 18, 1935. He is survived by his wife Adelle Shaddock Nix of 62 years. He has three sons Ronnie Keith Nix (LaDonna) of Camden, Connie Dawaine Nix (Paula) of Sparkman, and James Kevin Nix (Kim) of Sparkman. He has seven grandkids; Keith Nix (Cassi) of Sheboygan, WI, David Nix (Camie) of Monticello, Josh Nix (Kimberly) of Sparkman, Nathan Nix (Shelby) of Sparkman, Ashley Welch (Chris) of El Dorado, Katie Nix of Sparkman, and Taylor Nix of Sparkman. He has nine great grandchildren. He has one sister Mary Nix of Cleveland, TX, and a host of friends and Sunday School students.

He was a minister and Sunday School teacher for 40 plus years. He served on the Dallas County USDA Farm Service Agency for twenty plus years. He retired from the Arkansas Forestry Commission. He and his family were Dallas County Farm Family for 2 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jeff B. and Ruby Nix, and one sister Sue Dick.

Visitation will be May 13th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home of Bearden. Funeral Service will be 2PM Monday at Sparkman First Assembly of God Church with Wendell Miller, Keith Nix, and Kenneth Shaddock. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
