Claude L. Naquin, age 76, of Kingsland, Arkansas, passed away Sunday September 19, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
Born February 8, 1934 to the late Claude L. Naquin, Sr. and Beatrice Foret Naquin. He attended school in Houma, La and was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. He worked in the oil fields for Texaco for a number of years and retired from LeTourneau, Inc. in Longview, TX in 2008 as an Inventory Control Specialist.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Judy Beth Naquin and grandson, David Joe Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Midge) Huddleston Naquin of Kingsland; three step-daughters, Janis and Ida Nelson of Paris, TX; Dee (Skeet) Prather of Kingsland; three step-sons, Jim (Debbie) and Jack Nelson of Paris, TX, Gregory (Jennifer) Wagnon of Ewa Beach, HI; eight grandchildren, Susan, Ashley, Joshua, Jason, Jeremy, Emily, Elizabeth and Aaron; eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday September 25, 2010 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Tulley McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Reaves Cemetery near New Edinburg. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. To sign the online register visit
