Clara J. Puterbaugh

Clara J. Wages Puterbaugh, 89, of Kingsland, died Sunday June 8, 2008 at the Dallas County Medical Center. She was born in Kingsland, AR on February 1, 1919, to the late Alfred B. & Mattie Frances Brown Wages. Mrs. Puterbaugh was a homemaker & a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Fordyce.

She is survived by her two sons, Harry W. Puterbaugh & his wife Brenda of Kingsland, AR, Kermit L. Puterbaugh & his wife Celesta of Kingsland, AR; three daughters, Maydean Rhodes & her husband Gene of Fordyce, AR, Nathalene Huffman & her husband Bill of Fordyce, AR, Sherry J. Fowler & her husband David of Sherwood, AR; a brother, Alfred B. Wages, Jr. of West Monroe, LA; a sister, Frances Wilson of Kingsland, AR; six grandchildren, & ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie A. Puterbaugh, a son, Billy A. Puterbaugh; a granddaughter, Leslie Puterbaugh; two sisters, Mildred Goff & Pearlie Wages; & a brother, William Wages.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Monday June 9, 2008 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Kingsland Cemetery, with the Rev. B.L. Blann & Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Her grandsons & grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers & her great grandsons will be honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fordyce. In Lieu of flowers memorials be made to the donor's church or favorite charity.
