Clara Mae Carroll

Clara Mae Carroll, 77, of Kingsland died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her home. She was born October 5, 1941 in Calmer, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fordyce. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Hardy Carter, Sr. and Josie Olivine Johnson Carter; husband, Hugh F. Carroll; one brother, George Hardy Carter, Jr.; and one sister, Motier Vanlandingham. She is survived by five daughters, Shelia Courtney of Fordyce, Charlotte Shaddock of Sparkman, Jean Lexington of Kingsland, Cynthia Parnell of Kingsland, and Rhonda Dews of Camden; one brother, James Carter of Calmer; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Mike White officiating.
