Chester Garlington

Garlin Chester Garlington, 90, of Bleeker died Tuesday, December 06, 2011 at his home. He was born September 5, 1921 in Bleeker, Arkansas. He was a retired carpenter, a member and deacon of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Spencer Garlington and Emma Fennison Garlington; wife, Audrey Virginia Wilson Garlington; three brothers and four sisters. He is survived by son, Max (Wanda) Garlington of Bleeker; daughter, Jan (Ron) Harrell of Cabot; eight grandchildren, Steve McCammon of Dallas, TX, Sharon Rollans of East End, John Garlington of Corsicana, TX, Lee Garlington of Fordyce, Reed Harrell of Conway, Jillian Turgeon of Northwood, NH, Veronica Harrell of Ward and Jena Harrell of Conway. Visitation will be Friday 11:30 am until 12:30 am at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Plunkett officiating. Burial at Canada Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Kingsland.
