The story of Charlotte Brasher Tucker began in the small southern town of Hampton, Arkansas where she was born April 24, 1934 and passed away May 21, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born Charlotte Jeanette Broach to parents Irving B. Broach and Georgia Avant Broach. While attending the First Assembly of God Church in El Dorado, Arkansas Charlotte married Donald Wayne Brasher on December 12, 1952 and remained his devoted wife of 54 years until he went home to be with the Lord in June, 2007. During her marriage to Don, she had three sons and moved to Dallas, Milwaukee, and [the] Northern Virginia and finally back to Dallas. Together, Charlotte and Don worked in the private sector and taught the gospel in various church adult Sunday school classes during those tenures.
In 2015 Charlotte met and married former childhood friend, James Maxwell Tucker. Charlotte and Max enjoyed this special time in their lives together by reminiscing the former years and enjoying the time together traveling, re-acquainting with old friends, making new ones, and working in the church.
Charlotte is survived by James Maxwell Tucker Sr., her spouse of three and a half years, her son Philip Reed Brasher and his wife Dawn, her son Timothy Wayne Brasher and his wife Jan, her son Mark Anthony Brasher and his wife Okmi, and her step-son J. Max Tucker Jr. and his wife Lydia. Her grandchildren include Chanel Mayorga and her husband Joey, Nathan Brasher and his wife Karaline, Luke Brasher, Bo Brasher, John Tucker and his wife Ashley, Dallas Dodson and his wife Tonya, and Darcy Green and her husband Tim. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Mateo Mayorga, Troy Mayorga, Leo Brasher, Cole Dodson, Cooper Dodson, and Eva Green. She is also survived by her brother Donald Wayne Broach and his wife Sandra.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Funeral services are Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 2:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
