Charlotte Abbott Quarles

Charlotte Lee Abbott Quarles, age 82, of Bearden, passed away March 12, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Quinnon Maurice Quarles after 60 years of marriage, her parents Floyd and Virginia Abbott, one brother; John “Dub” Abbott and one sister; Cherrynell Abbott Weatherly. She is survived by one brother; Bob Abbott of Pine Bluff, AR., two daughters Holly (Rob) Fincher of Camden, AR., and Hope (Marc) Jones of Fayetteville, AR. She has one grandson Steven Jones (Maegin) of Fayetteville, AR. and two great grandsons Johnathen Jones and Ethen Jones of Fayetteville, AR. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews and friends; including one very special friend, Sandra Link of Bearden, AR.

Following graduation from Bearden High School, she began her career at Bearden Hardwood Dimensions as an office secretary. She later worked many years for the Bank of Bearden before retiring in 2001. During her retirement years she and her husband enjoyed traveling the country via Francis Tours out of Arkadelphia with her sister-in-law, Ann Quarles Gresham of Bearden. She also took many trips with her daughters and enjoyed seeing new things. She was a member of the Bearden First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed painting nature scenes, playing the piano, and visiting with family. She was an avid reader of the Bible, reading through the Bible multiple times each year.

Visitation will be held at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. March 15, 2026. Services will be held at the Bearden First Assembly of God Church at 2:00 p.m. on Monday March 16, 2026. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery near Sparkman, AR.
