Charlotte J. Ables Dorey

Charlotte J. Ables Dorey, 74, of Hampton died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born May 25, 1943 on the "Ables Farm Homestead" in Calhoun County, Arkansas. She was a retired beautician and a member of Victory Assembly of God Church in Camden, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie Ables and Arnette Rinehart Ables; husband, James Dorey; and one brother, Earl Ables. She is survived by her husband, David Dickson of Hampton; one son, Ricky (Christie) Dorey of Hopeville; one daughter, Tammy (Husam) Mahrous of Monroe, LA; two step sons, Jeff Dickson of Baton Rouge, LA and Troy Dickson of El Dorado; three brothers, John Ables and Merle Ables of Hampton, and Jerry Ables of Camden; two sisters, Janett Williams of Hampton, and Shirley Cook of Camden. Charlotte was known as "Nanaw" to her nine grandkids and eleven great grandkids. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the First Assembly of God Church in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Hampton. Burial at Bethel Cemetery near Bearden. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
