Charles William Tidwell

Charles William Tidwell, 82, of Fordyce died Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. John's Place in Fordyce. He was born April 5, 1935 in Fordyce, Arkansas. He was a retired millwright for Georgia-Pacific and a Marine veteran of the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. Tidwell and Fannie Wormington Tidwell; one son, Charles Michael Tidwell; one daughter, Debra Sue Cranford and one sister, Janath Morris. He is survived by his wife, Loraine Tidwell of Fordyce; three sons, Ellis Tidwell of Fordyce, John Tidwell of Sherwood, and Terry Tidwell of New Edinburg; two brothers, Tommy Tidwell and Howard Tidwell both of Bearden; three sisters, Frances Cheek of Hot Springs, Katherine Ann Preslar of Hot Springs, and Martha Lee Horton of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Jones officiating.
