Charles Ray Pate

Charles Ray Pate, 67, of Leola passed from this earth Friday, February 4, 2011 at his home. He was born August 24, 1943 in Ashdown, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Pate, one sister, Shirley Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 37 wonderful years, Myrtle Holloway Pate of Leola. Charles and Myrtle have two children; daughter, Stephanie Pifer and husband Keith who are expecting a baby to be born in June of East End; one son, Steven Pate and his wife Emma of Watson Chapel. Charles is also survived by two daughters, Mary Canady of Batesville and Susan Post of Kingsland; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his mother, Esther Pate of Fordyce; one brother, David (Brenda) Pate of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters, Mary Hernsberger of Monroe, LA, Peggy (Doyle) Chamberland of Malvern, Joyce (Earl) Dees of Kingsland; in laws, Sharlet Holloway, Polly Holloway, Charles Holloway, John Holloway and Mary Ann Brawley all of Winona, MO.
