Charles E. Frazier

Charles E. Frazier, 86, of Fordyce, AR entered his Heavenly home on Friday, June 20, 2025 at JRMC in Pine Bluff, AR. Born October 29, 1938 in the Ramsey community, he was one of two sons of the late Tommy and Bethunia Frazier.
After graduating from Fordyce High School in 1956, he attended Henderson State Teachers College, where he earned his BSE degree. He married his childhood sweetheart, Jean Jones, in May 1961. He then went to Marianna as General Manager of the Farmer's Co-op of Lee County. He was active in the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, he was a Lee Academy board member, and served as the Southern Farmers Association president for Arkansas and Louisiana. He was active in the First Baptist Church where he served as chairman of deacons.
In 1983, he and his wife moved back to Fordyce, where he worked for International Paper at Camden and Pine Bluff before retiring in 2000. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fordyce, where he served on the bereavement committee, enjoyed Keenagers, and his Sunday School Class. He was an avid outdoorsman, and was an officer of Ramsey Hunting Club for fifty years. He enjoyed working in his yard and his flowers after retirement.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Frazier. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Frazier of Fordyce; one son, Alan Frazier and his wife, Frances of Pine Bluff, one daughter, Melanie Kauffman and her husband, Kevin of Fordyce; five grandchildren, Daniel Frazier of Little Rock, Sanders Frazier and his wife, Brittanie of Altheimer, Aaron Frazier of Pine Bluff, Ryan Tutor and his wife, Shelby of Nachitoches, LA, Anna Claire Tutor of Conway, three great-grandchildren, Paityn, Trevor, Charlie Frazier, and another great grandchild, Hattie Mae Tutor on the way; sister-in-law Frances Frazier of Fayetteville, brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Donna Jones of Ramsey and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Ivy officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fordyce Children's Ministry. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
