Carroll Bruce Stringfellow, 58, of Hampton, Arkansas, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Lifetouch Hospice in El Dorado, Arkansas. Bruce was born September 17, 1958, in Camden, Arkansas, to Roger Mack Stringfellow and Edna Laws Stringfellow Ballard of Hampton, Arkansas.
He was predeceased by his father, Roger Mack Stringfellow, his step father, Bill Ballard, his brother, Ted Stringfellow, his paternal grandparents, Bruce and Everlee Stringfellow of Hampton, and his maternal grandparents, Ted and Alma Laws of Benton, Arkansas.
Bruce was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church, which he attended regularly and helped his wife with the children's' church until his health prevented them from participating. Bruce was a third-generation concrete finisher for over 40 years, working in the Hampton, El Dorado, Camden, and other surrounding areas. His love for fishing and hunting is surpassed only by his love for his family. Bruce was always ready for a fishing trip and was able to go on one last trip to Lake Chicot in June with his family as a "make a wish" gift given by Arkansas Hospice. He was a former member of the Dunn Hunting Club.
Bruce was a devoted husband to his wife and caregiver, Melinda, for over 41 years. The love and devotion they had for one another was a testimony to true love and commitment to their wedding vows.
Survivors include his loving wife, Melinda Trantham Stringfellow, of Hampton; his mother, Edna Ballard of Dermott; four daughters, Felisha Dawn Ferrell of Lake Village, Amy Ann Sanders and husband Jason of Locust Bayou, Erin Michelle Bailey of Smackover, and Amber Lynn Bailey of Hampton; five brothers, Ronnie Stringfellow and Rickey Stringfellow and wife Linda of Hampton, Wade Stringfellow and wife Trudy of Monticello, Mitchell Stringfellow and wife Tina of Harrell, Phillip Stringfellow and wife Sherry of Dermott; two sisters, Sherry McElyea of Hampton, Mitzi Cantwell and husband William of White Hall; two grandsons, Briar and Gunner Sanders of Locust Bayou, his mother-in-law Jean Trantham of Monticello, several brothers and sisters in laws, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and dear friends. He is also survived by his fury babies, Bossy and Tator Tot.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm at First Baptist Church in Hampton. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Hampton, with Brother Mike Nutt and Brother Ricky Smith officiating
