Carol Elizabeth Ables, 67, of Tulip died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born July 28, 1950 in Atlanta, GA. She was a member and treasurer of Carthage Baptist Church in Carthage. She is preceded in death by her father, William Frederick Durham; son, Brick Ables; brother, Bill Durham; and mother-in-law Alice Matthews. She is survived by her husband Jay Ables of Tulip; mother, Ouida Murray of McDonough, GA; one son, Jordan (Hope) Ables of Tulip; one daughter, Jayce (Jesse) Patch of Memphis, TN; one brother, Ed (Brenda) Durham of Conyers, GA; father-in-law, Bo Matthews of Tulip; one daughter-in-law, Jenny (Mike) Lanier of Lono; sister-in-law, Nancy Durham of Lawrenceville, GA; one niece, Christy Bankieris of McDonough, GA; two great nephews, Brighton and Cohen Bankieris of McDonough, GA; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017, 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Carthage Baptist Church with memorial services beginning at 10:00 am with Rev. Will Wallace and Rev.
