Carlton Buchannan Strickland

Carlton Buchannan Strickland, 86, of Hampton died Thursday January 3, 2019 at his home. Born February 12, 1932 in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Lester Augustus Strickland and Ollie Naomi Bowen Strickland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Lane Clemons Strickland; two sons, Carl Wayne Strickland and Barry Scott Strickland; sister, Louise Hollingsworth; brother, Faye Strickland; granddaughter, Shannon Michelle Evans.
He is survived by his son, Jimmy Dale Strickland and his wife Shirley of Hampton; daughter, Angie Evans and husband Kenny of Hampton; five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church with services following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Means Cemetery.
