Carlton E. Quarles

Carlton E. Quarles, 70, of Bearden, died Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. He was born January 8, 1939 in Bearden. He was a retired hardwood lumber inspector for Bearden Lumber Company and a member of Bearden First Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee and Annie Wilson Quarles, one brother, Hershel "Bud" Quarles and two sisters, Christine Roark and Ernestine Deadmond. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Bowman Quarles of Bearden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Cleo Beard of Bearden, Kristen and Russell Parramore of Sherwood; two brothers, Did Quarles and Maurice Quarles both of Bearden; two sisters, Maxine Couch of Pine Bluff and Ann Gresham of Bearden; four grandchildren, Abbey Beard, Emma Beard, Noah Beard and Cade Parramore Visitation will be Friday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Bearden First Assembly of God with Rev. Wayne McGuire and Rev. Thomas Stoker officiating. Burial at Salem Cemetery.
