B.L. Avant

B.L. Avant, 73, of Hampton, died Saturday August 29, 2009. Mr. Avant was born in Hampton, AR on January 28, 1936 to the late Blount Lester & Virginia Ables Avant. He was a retired owner/operator of a gravel business, & a member of the Trinity Chapel Church in Hampton.

He is survived by his two sons, Bobby Lane Avant & his wife Janice of Hampton, AR, Scott Allen Avant of Hampton, AR; a sister, Sarah Fleener of Illinois; four grandchildren, Brandon Lane Avant of Harrell, AR, Brenton Kyle Avant of Clarksville, TN, Shawnee Nicole Newton of Hampton, AR, Samuel Tanner Avant of Hampton, AR; & two great grandchildren, Braxton Lane Avant of Harrell, AR, Bronson Kyle Avant of Hampton, AR. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Duncan Avant & three sisters.

Funeral service services are 2:00 pm Tuesday September 1, 2009 at the Trinity Chapel Church in Hampton. Burial will be Pickett Cemetery with the Rev. Bud Southall officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
