Birdie Elizabeth Berry, 74, of Fordyce passed away Wednesday February 3, 2010. She was born November 26, 1935 in Hampton, AR to the late Clarence and Lola Parker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Dewayne and a sister, Helen Swanton.
Survivors include her husband, John P. Berry; four children, Darlene Beene, Ronda Traband (John), Gerald Beene, and Gary Beene; sisters Janie Kendrick and Joyce McGee; seven grandchildren, Brandy Mays Spradlin, Gary "Tiger" Beene, Janet Beene, Cobie Bernard, Nikki Weatherly (Burk), Josh Beene, and Brandon Beene; one great-granddaughter, Ada Beth Berry.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Fordyce and enjoyed quilting, playing cards and spending time with her family and many good friends.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. To sign the online register visit www.bentonfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Southside Baptist Church or Arkansas Hospice.
