Billy Joe Franklin, 69 of Fordyce, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Little Rock. He was born June 23, 1947 in Kingsland to the late Louis Lamar and Annie Kathryn Franklin.
Billy Joe truly loved his Lord and was a member of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church. He also loved his family and one of his great joys was watching his grandson Cody box. He also enjoyed working on computers. One of his very favorite things to do was to sit in his chair and feed treats to all of his pets.
He is survived by his wife Linda Kay Franklin of Fordyce; his son David Lamar Franklin and wife Patricia of Furlow; his daughter Melody Franklin Williams and husband Chad of Fordyce; his brother Gene Franklin and wife Mary Ann of Kingsland; and five grandchildren, Cody, Colton, and Madyson Williams all of Fordyce and Jonathan and Justin Franklin both of Sheridan.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6PM until 8PM at Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. Funeral services are 10AM Saturday at Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Bolin and Rev.
