Beverly Ann Spencer Brown, 64, of Kingsland passed away April 15, 2026. She was born October 21, 1961 in Fordyce, Arkansas. She was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, friend, and “Abba” to a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved unconditionally.
Beverly will be remembered above all for the way she loved people. Her life was a reflection of kindness, compassion, and quiet service. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always putting others before herself and finding joy in caring for those around her. Whether through a warm smile, an encouraging word, or a simple act of kindness, Beverly made people feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.
She found happiness in the simple things—spending time outdoors, loving on her sweet pup, Jax, and cruising with Eddie in the Nomad. She built lifelong friendships through the activities she enjoyed, including playing softball, biking, riding motorcycles, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Wherever she went, she brought laughter, light, and a sense of belonging.
Beverly was affectionately known as “Abba” to her nieces and nephews, who were the pride and joy of her life. She loved them all fiercely and delighted in caring for them, always finding ways to make them feel special and cherished - frankly, she spoiled them all rotten. She was their biggest supporter, faithfully showing up on the sidelines of games, competitions, and all life’s important moments. She'd often lace up her sneakers and join in the race beside them. If she couldn’t be there in person, she was lifting them up in prayer, eagerly awaiting updates, and sharing in their accomplishments with joy. Her absence will be felt in their lives in ways words cannot fully express.
Beverly was a loyal and devoted friend. She had a special gift for lifting others up and offering comfort, and her contagious smile and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She never missed an opportunity to make someone feel cared for and she gave the very best hugs.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. As a lifelong member of Kingsland United Methodist Church, she served faithfully as secretary and song leader. She was often the first to arrive—opening the doors, preparing coffee, and greeting each person with a smile. Beverly didn’t just speak about her faith; she lived it daily through her love, humility, and service to others.
For 31 years, Beverly served as an Administrative Assistant III at the Cooperative Extension Office, where she was known as the heart of the workplace. She carried a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to help anyone in need. More importantly, she created a welcoming atmosphere, making coworkers and visitors alike feel at home. She had a special place in her heart for children, always ready to make them laugh—especially with her unforgettable Donald Duck impression.
Though her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, Beverly’s legacy is one of love in action. It lives on in every life she touched, every kindness she shared, and every person she made feel at home. Her life was a beautiful testament to serving others with grace, and that legacy will continue to shine through all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Brown; a special niece whom she loved and thought of as a daughter, Tiffany (Jerried) Holland of Warren; two sisters-in-law Sharon (Mark) McClellan of Warren and Beverly Darlena Brown of Poyen; two brothers, Rickey (Tleatha) Spencer and Keith (Connie) Spencer, all of Kingsland; nephews Stephen (Rachel) McClellan, Taylor (Meredith) Spencer, Jonathan Spencer, and Jonathan Martin; nieces Jessica (Mitchell) Hamilton, Julia (Zach) Meyer, Jamie (Jon) Creighton, and Lauren (Bradley) Williams; great nephews Christopher Spencer Kervin; Spencer and Slade Holland; Emerson, Wesley, and River Williams; Dean and Heath McClellan; William Meyer; and Chase Spencer; and great nieces Kiera Spencer Kervin, Dallas Hamilton, Rayleigh Mae Meyer, and Blakely Creighton; and many special friends.
She is now celebrating in the arms of Jesus and reunited in joy with her precious mother, Melba Childs, whom she cherished and missed deeply. She is also preceded in death by her father, John Spencer; stepfather, George Harold Childs; nephew, Matt Spencer; and niece, Kimberly McClellan.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, April 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Don Robinson and Rev. Mark Rivers officiating. Burial will be at Kingsland Cemetery.
