Bettye Sue Watson

Bettye Sue Watson, 86 of Harrell, Arkansas was born February 26, 1928 and passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Camden. She was a member of Harrell United Methodist Church where she served as Choir Director and a Sunday school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dewitt Porter, Sr. and Ozzie Williams Porter, a sister Thelma Jean Porter, and her husband Henry A. "Buddy" Watson.

She is survived by a son, Allen G. Watson and daughter-in-law Nealya Van Watson of Harrell; two grandchildren, Jamie Shoemaker and husband Patrick of North Little Rock and Chuck Watson and wife Carmon of Magnolia; four great grandchildren, Hannah and Grant Shoemaker, Talynn and Charlie Watson; brother Dewitt "Doc" Porter, Jr. and wife Billie; sister Janis Johnston; and sister-in-law Martha Rae Bowen; 8 nieces, 9 nephews, 6 great-nieces, and 8 great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Sam Johnston, Harry Dudenhfer, Skip Jennings, Tim Ables, Carroll Newton, Jerry Bowen, Greg Bowen, and Freddie Bowen. Visitation will be Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday at Harrell United Methodist Church. Burial at Watson Cemetery.
