Betty Webb Dunn

Betty Webb Dunn, age 79, of Fordyce, went to her Heavenly Father on July 16, 2011. Born February 7, 1932 in Urbana, AR, she was the daughter of the late A.C. Cary Webb and Lorena Pratt Webb of Urbana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferryl R. (F.R.) Dunn of Fordyce; grandson Damon K. Roper of El Dorado; son-in-law Donnie George of Little Rock.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Roper George of Little Rock; four sons, Cary and Jeanette Dunn of Fordyce, Dan and Shelly Dunn of Texarkana, TX, John and Donna Dunn of Lonoke, U.S. Army Colonel Ken Dunn of Austin, TX; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many special friends.
She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Fordyce. Her passions were her children, grand children, sewing, golf, and serving the residence of the local nursing home. She loved to sew for her friends, especially the small children. Ms. Betty, as she was commonly known, was a beautiful lady that came from humble beginnings to be an outspoken woman for her beliefs. Her dedication to her family, friends, and her community played a large role of her life. She will be missed by many and all.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Fordyce with Rev. Stacy Reed officiating. Burial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Urbana Cemetery in Urbana.
