Betty St. John King

Betty St. John King of New Edinburg, Arkansas passed away on July 13th, 2024. She was born to Harvey & Adelle St. John on May 16th, 1934, in New Edinburg, AR. She attended New Edinburg Public School District & graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Arkansas A&M College. Ms. Betty taught school for the better of 25 years at New Edinburg, Kingsland & Watson Chapel School Districts.

Ms. Betty married Marvin King in November of 1954. Born to them were two sons, Randall King & Paul King (Laura). Together they enjoyed 3 beautiful grandchildren Jacob King (Lacy), Ashley Korzeniewski (Tom), & Rachel DePriest (Josh) & 2 beautiful great grandchildren Taylor Kate DePriest & Phillip Everet King. Ms. Betty spoiled her grandchildren and was well on her way to spoiling the great grandchildren.

Ms. Betty was a Christian and a long time member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. The family thanks their pastor Bro. Ware & Lynne Russell for kindness they have shown during her illness.

Ms. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, one son Randall King & one grandson James Chance King.

Ms. Betty & Mr. Marvin are blessed to have so many neighbors in their great community and they are thankful for their adopted children Jimmy & Shirley Lankford.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 1-2 pm at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, with graveside service to follow at 2:30 at McCoy Cemetery.
