Betty Elizabeth Gurnsey

Betty Elizabeth Hopkins Gurnsey, 70, of Holly Springs died Friday October 9, 2026 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Born July 12, 1956 at Thornton, she was a daughter of the late Alton Hopkins and Edna Carter Hopkins. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul David Gurnsey and four brothers.

She is survived by her husband, David “Cotton” Gurnsey of Holly Springs; a son, Kevin Gurnsey of Kingsland; and a sister, Gale Vaughan of Thornton.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 17, 2026 at Holly Springs Cemetery with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. There will be a visitation at the cemetery one hour before the service.
