Betty Maroney Benson

Betty Maroney Benson, 75, of Hampton died Monday May 17, 2010 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado. Born January 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Docia Thompson Maroney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Nolan "Shoaty" Benson, a son and daughter-in-law Steve and Danita Benson.
She is survived by one son, Phil Benson (Lyn) of Hampton; one daughter, Jamie Whittemore (James) of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Nikki Reilly of Cabot, AR, Scott Benson of Hampton, AR Lynsey Colvin of El Dorado, AR, Ryne Colvin of El Dorado, AR Alex Byars of Ft. Myers, FL, Avery Byars of Ft. Myers, FL, Jameson Whittemore of Ft. Myers, FL; great-grandchildren, Lauren Reilly of Cabot, AR, Nicholas Weeks of Hampton, AR.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home at Hampton. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce.
