Bernadette DeFee, 61, of Strong, formerly of Hampton, died Friday August 14, 2009 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR. Mrs. DeFee was born in Hampton, AR, on June 18, 1948. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William Dennis DeFee of Strong, AR; a son, Lane Allen & his wife Tonya of El Dorado, AR, a step-son, Tommy DeFee & his wife Jackie of Ridgeway, OH; three daughters, Annette Allen Askew & her husband Paul of Hampton, AR, Christie Allen Partain of Hampton, AR, Mary Beth Allen Garcia of Camden, AR; a sister, Mary Jo Merritt of Camden, AR; twelve grandchildren, & one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Bernard Good & Howard Gurnsey, & her mother, Mildred Cason Gurnsey.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday August 17, 2009 at the Faustina Methodist Church. Burial will be in Dunn Cemetery, with the Rev. Buddy Hamner & Brother Ricky Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home in Hampton. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to the John R.
