Austin McDonald “Mack” Chambers, 97 of Benton passed away Saturday September 3, 2022. Born September 8, 1924 at Tinsman, AR, he was a son of the late H.R. Chambers and Mary “Mamie” Findlon Chambers. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and and veteran of World War II, European Theater, having served in the Army. He was an avid gardener who loved being outside, working his flower beds and watching the deer and birds from his back porch.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anita Louise Mulkey Chambers, four loving brothers, Henry, Jesse, Wayne and Wendell and four loving sisters, Linnie, Nuel, Nellive, and Mamie Ruth and their spouses; daughter-in-law Karla Owen Chambers; two sons-in-law Calvin Samuel Thomas and John H. Manasco, Jr.
He is survived by a son, Jim Chambers of Little Rock, a daughter, Mariglen Manasco of Benton; five grandchildren, Ami Moritz of Clinton, Toby Thomas (Shanon) of Little Rock, John Manasco III of Cabot, Zach Owen (Stephanie) of Benton, Josh Owen (Suzanne) of Benton; grandson-in-law, Jeffrey Moritz of Little Rock; twelve great-grandchildren, Maricalvin Moritz, Kati Moritz, Jack Moritz, Austin McCool, Matthew Thomas, Jeffery Manasco, Mason Lambert, Megan Lambert, Madison Lambert, Jaxsen Owen, Logan Owen, Landon Owen; two great-great grandchildren, Emberlee Sterrett, Samuel Austin McCool; numerous loving nieces, nephews and all of his extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 13, 2022 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce with Rev. Jason M. Chambers officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery near Chambersville. Pallbearers are David Minton, Isaac Minton, Zach Owen, Jeffrey Moritz, Austin McCool and Robert Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Fults and Stuart Holt.
