Annie Jo Strickland

Annie Jo Strickland, 89, of Hampton died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born January 13, 1927 in Calhoun County, Arkansas. She retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Services and she was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Proctor and Annie Johnson Proctor; one grandchild, Justin Strickland and one sister, Caroneil Cosby. She is survived by her husband, Hamp Strickland of Hampton; three sons, Billy Joe Strickland and his wife Jerita of Arlington, TX, Charles Strickland and his wife Patsy of Hampton, and Jerry Strickland of Hampton; one sister, Marcelyne Ables of Gardendale, AL; one nephew, Jimmy Cosby of Morris AL; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at New Hope Cemetery near Hampton with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev.
