Ann H. Hammons

Ann H. Thrash Hammons, 93 of Fordyce, died October 9, 2016. She was born March 5, 1923 in Texarkana, Texas to the late Sam Limb Hulet and Pink Virginia Giles Hulet. Ann was a member of First Baptist Church of Fordyce. In the later years of her working life she was County Clerk for Dallas County.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammons was preceded in death by her husband Hurchel O. Thrash, Sr. and husband Robert Arthur Hammons, and her son Hurchel Otis Thrash, Jr.

Mrs. Hammons is survived by her son Douglas Oneal Thrash of Lafe, Arkansas, grandchildren Neal, Christie, Kelly, and Meshelle, 8 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be 2PM Wednesday at Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce with interment following at Oakland Cemetery. Services will be conducted by her faithful pastor and friend Bro.
