Agatha Faia Rowsey, 87, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024. Agatha is preceded in death by her parents, Abner and Esther Gilbert; sons, Michael Gillreath, and Larry Rowsey; siblings, Windy Gilbert, Ellen Patterson, Buddy Gilbert, Connie Crist, Milas Gilbert, and Maxine Gilbert; and grandson, Jonathan Sanchez.
She is survived by children, Cynthia (Butch) Stroud, Charles Rowsey, Sussi (John) Sanchez, Ginger Rowsey, and Becky (Craig) Newman; grandchildren, Trevor Maninger, Wesley Stroud, Samantha Stroud, Jeremy Sanchez, Bonnie Sanchez, Matthew Rowsey, Josh (Cheri) Newman-Parsley, Kenneth Newman, and Luke Newman; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation with family and friends was held Friday, July 26th, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas. Graveside services will be 10 AM Tuesday, July 30th, at New Hope Cemetery near Hampton, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
