A.W. Evans age 64 of Bearden died Friday, September 25, 2020 at his home. He was born September 24, 1956 in Atlanta, TX. He was a logger and member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church. A. W. was also Fire Chief of the Bearden Fire Department, where he had volunteered for twenty three years. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Hervey and Betty Evans; and two brothers, Jackie Evans and Jimmie Evans. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Evans of Bearden; one son, Justin Evans and wife Mariela Evans of Bearden; one daughter, Jennifer Hoss and husband Sean of Bearden; one brother, Donnie Evans of Bearden, two sisters, Sissy Tucker of Bearden and Cindy Bowman of Lufkin, TX; three grandchildren, Zach and Haley Hoss and Alexander Evans all of Bearden. Visitation will be Sunday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. Brian Caldwell officiating.
