Todd Alton Easterling

April 15, 1970 — June 22, 2024

Todd Alton Easterling, 54 of Kingsland, born April 15th, 1970, was called home June 22nd, 2024.

Todd is survived by his father Howard Easterling Jr., his mother Sue Easterling, his wife Tammy Easterling, his son Seth Easterling, his daughter Charley James, his sister Traci Harrington, his granddaughter Waverly James, his step-daughter Jessica West, granddaughter Layla Byrd, grandson, Brent Parker, grandson, Cameron West, his step-son Johnathan Parker and a host of nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and many friends.

Todd Easterling went by the names of Dad, Papa T, Mr. Todd, or simply, Todd. He wore many hats and played a significant role in the lives of many.

To many he was known as the director of transportation at Millcreek of Arkansas in Fordyce. He made many friends during his tenure at Millcreek and was a pillar of his work community. Reliable to a fault, he drove all over the state of Arkansas transporting kids to and from Fordyce.

To others he was known as the preacher of the West 4th Street Church of Christ in Fordyce. He found great support and many kindred spirits in this congregation. The members of West 4th Street over the years may not have known, but he loved them dearly and he needed their fellowship just as much as they needed his service.

To his family and friends he was certainly a character. With endless stories and jokes, he lightened the mood of any room he entered. He found common ground with everyone he knew and made a point to strike up a conversation with you every time he saw you. Somehow, you knew he wasn’t just trying to be polite, but rather he was actually listening and carefully logging away the conversation in his memory. He never made anyone feel out of place when they were around him, especially if he could talk to you about deer hunting, bass fishing, or the Razorbacks.

Todd loved his family dearly. He delighted in growing vegetables and gardening with his wife. He enjoyed visiting with his parents as often as possible. He looked forward to every opportunity to go hunting or fishing with his son. Times seeing his daughter, her husband, and little Waverly were often the highlights of his year. Pestering his sister and his nieces was one of his favorite pastimes. He also thoroughly enjoyed shooting the bull with his cousins and his friends, often around a campfire. To summarize, he will be greatly missed, as he was an irreplaceable part of the lives of his family and friends.
