Mary Ellen Harrod, age 100, of Dallas Texas formally of Pine Bluff Arkansas passed away on February 10th 2021 at Prestonwood Rehab center in Plano Texas. She was born May 27, 1920 in Kingsland Arkansas to the late Alfred and Mamie Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Harrod and one son Jack Bland Harrod JR, two brothers, J.A. and Harold Bell. She was a retired cosmetologist of 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. She is survived by one son Jim Harrod of Dallas, Texas ;one grandson, James Harrod of Austin; three great grandchildren, Morgan, Trey and Jackie of Austin; two nieces, Nancy Bell Clark of Denton, Texas and Susie Bell of Conroe, Texas. A graveside service will be February 27, 2021 at 11 AM at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce with brother Ken Thornton officiating. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral home in Fordyce.
