Elva Jo Wylie, age 72 of Carthage died Wednesday, February 09, 2022 at Encore Health Care in Malvern, Arkansas. She was born January 6, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of Carthage Presbyterian Church. Elva Joe retired from the Arkansas Revenue Department in Fordyce after 35 years of service. She was the supervisor for the Department of Finance and Administration. She loved traveling, playing the piano and going to dances. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harris E. Wylie and Minnie C. Gatling Wylie; and one brother, James Harris Wylie; one neice, Roxanna Bradley. She is survived by one sister, Anne Wyle Bradley of Carthage; one niece, Sissy Osteen of Stillwater, OK; one nephew, Ross Wylie of Carthage; and one great niece, Ashley Wylie of Carthage; two great nephews, Dorian Melton of SC and Aubrey Osteen of TX. Elva Jo is also survived by a myriad of fans and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Carthage Presbyterian Church or Hampton Springs Cemetery Association. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Saturday at Hampton Springs Cemetery with Rev. Rick Bolin officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
